MONTPELIER, Vt. — A Vermont House committee has revived the hopes of marijuana legalization advocates by rewriting a bill that was stripped down by another committee last week.

The Ways and Means Committee version restores legalized possession of up to an ounce by adults and adds something not included when the bill passed the Senate — limited home cultivation of up to two plants.
