A woman who armed herself with two kitchen knives slashed an intruder late Friday night in Colorado Springs.
Although Colorado Springs police used a K-9 to hunt for the injured man, he was not captured, according to a police report.
The name of the woman, who lives in an apartment on the 3200 block of Virginia Avenue, was not released.
Police were called at 11:40 p.m. about an incident involving a knife.
When authorities arrived at the home the victim was outside her resident.
She reported that she heard the front door of her home open and when she went to see who was there a man chased her through the living room and dining room.
The woman grabbed two knives and ordered the man to get out of her house.
The man attacked and threw her to the floor. He snatched a knife away from her and held it to her throat.
At that point the woman sliced the man on his arm with the other knife.
The man then ran out of the home and fled.
The victim was not injured, according to the police report.
