During , city workers removed camps that had been set up near the downtown Samaritan House shelter. City workers collected any items that were or other public property.

Items that were collected were stored at a facility at 1221 Glenarm Place, where they are available for pick up by their owners.

The city initially planned to hold the items for 30 days.

On Wednesday, Denver Human Services announced that it will hold the items until April 29, according to a news release.

City employees are working with outreach teams to find people who may have items at the storage facility. Extra precautions to ensure no important documents — such as identification cards — are not thrown away.
