
Trustpilot, online reviews site, expanding to Denver.
Incoming: ٱԳ-, which offers a place for consumers to review and rate companies online, has picked Denver to open its second U.S. office on May 1. The company plans to this year.
Initial staffing of eight people will be housed at the at 1550 Wewatta St. Trustpilot has reserved enough working spaces for 18.
Most of are for sales and account executives. Customer service and operations jobs will round out staff. Plans are to look for a new office space as the company grows, according to the company.
In a statement, Fred Mather, Trustpilot’s General Manager, Americas said the company evaluated several U.S. cities but picked Denver “because of its growing technology industry, its reputation as a hub of innovation and strong local talent pool.”
Trustpilot says it has 19 million users and 120,000 businesses on its site. But the bulk of those are not in the United States. In the U.S., the company says there are about 3 million reviews.
In Denver, the Trustpilot team will focus on supporting and growing customers. That means selling a subscription service to businesses. The sell: Create a spot for consumers to offer reviews of the company because reviews “” says the pitch to businesses. There — fake reviews and employee reviews are prohibited, users can’t be selectively invited to review the company — and companies are encouraged to respond to their customers.
The company, which was , employs 500 globally. About 150 employees work out of its New York office.
