Re: Why Kasich is failing despite being so electable, April 22 Charles Lane column.
Charles Lane s hypothesis that John Kasich s problem getting votes is that he s not apocalyptic doesn t square with reality. A more credible hypothesis is that the Republican base is so angry at the incompetent, lying politicians responsible for America s recent decline (mainly Bill Clinton, whose subprime mortgage program ultimately triggered our economic crash, and Barack Obama, whose Obamacare and feckless foreign policy have caused additional economic and international setbacks without fixing our main problems) and at the inability of even a Republican-controlled Congress to fix things with Obama still in the White House, that most of them refuse to vote for any establishment candidate, including Kasich.
Unfortunately, Kasich s problem is America s problem, because only an experienced moderate like Kasich, Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney has the ability to both set the record straight and defeat Hillary Clinton (another incompetent liar). Naive, lying RINOs like Donald Trump and distrusted Tea Party extremists like Ted Cruz will only deliver the country back into the hands of the Democrats.
