The ink is finally dry on the paperwork for the new location.

3014 East Colfax Avenue, the space formerly inhabited by Beetle Bar, Odelay Tacos and Sengers, is now officially Cold Crush Colfax.

Cold Crush owner Brian Mathenge said he hopes to throw a grand opening for the space by the end of June.

The club’s second location will feature a live music space sized for local acts, an amenity absent at the original Cold Crush in RiNo. The ~200 capacity room will occasionally feature jazz nights among other themed live music evenings.

Cold Crush Colfax will also boast a bigger bar and an expanded restaurant component, including a full kitchen with breakfast, lunch and late-night menus.

“We have two patios, one on the top and one on the bottom, with a totally refurbished bar upstairs that will be used for VIPs and cool kids,” said Mathenge. “It will have the same kind of art and music we love, just with a stage and more of a live music atmosphere.”

Cold Crush’s second home will feature a mural wall, which management will periodically recommission.

In February, that Cold Crush Colfax was looking to expand to East Colfax after a petition had reportedly surfaced asking for tighter regulations for the club’s original RiNo location.
