A Westminster man who was arrested Friday faces charges of killing his wife earlier in the week.
Westminster Police Department spokeswoman Cheri Spottke said police were called about 6 a.m. Thursday to the couple’s home in the 5800 block of West 94th Place.
Gary Lee Nickal, 38, called 911 to report his wife’s death as a suicide.
Officers determined the woman had been shot by someone else, Spottke said. Westminster police arrested Nickal about 6 p.m. Friday. He’s being held on charges of first-degree murder. Colorado court records don’t show he had a criminal record.
