Burlington police have arrested two men in the death of a woman Friday.

The men — Dylan Eason, 19, and Isaiah Churchwell, 24 — were arrested in the death of Dr. Cynthia Campbell Eason, on the 1300 block of Jasmine Street in Burlington.

Cynthia Eason is a veterinarian, according to her Facebook page.

According to Burlington police, the two men allegedly entered Eason’s home, caused her death and left with stolen items. It was not clear how she died.

Both men have been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery and theft.

Police said a tip led to their capture and arrest a few hours after the investigation started Friday afternoon.

Both men are being held without bond at the Kit Carson County Jail and will be advised of the charges against them Monday. Police do not believe the killing was random.

Authorities did not say whether the Easons are related but said the victim and one of the suspects “are known to one another,” according to a press release.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation processed the the scene over the weekend, police said.
