A man involved in a confrontation outside a strip club that ended in a fatal shooting has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
Stephen Futrell, 32, entered a guilty plea Friday in Denver District Court, according to a Denver District Attorney’s Office news release.
Futrell pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in exchange for dismissal of a first-degree murder charge and a weapons charge, prosecutors said.
In the early morning hours of Sept. 13, 2015, with Jeremy Garcia, 29, inside PT’s Showclub in the 8300 block of East Colfax Avenue, the release said.
Garcia was later fatally shot outside the club.
Futrell faces a 24- to 40-year prison term when he is sentenced June 17.
