The Denver District Attorney’s Office has charged a 30-year-old man with first-degree murder and second-degree assault in connection with an .
Daniel Gutierrez is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Jairo Perez and assaulting another man with a chain in the 200 block of Osceola Street, according to a news release Monday from the district attorney’s office.
Gutierrez remains in custody without bail and will appear in Denver District Court later this week.
