
Colorado Springs police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder that left one person with serious injuries.
Tevion Thompson is being held at the El Paso County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, records show.
The shooting happened about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday at a home on the 3500 block of El Morro Road.
“Officers arrived on scene at 1:45 a.m. and located a male party suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest,” according to a news release from Colorado Springs police.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, but was stable after receiving medical treatment.
Thompson was identified as a suspect in the hours after the shooting and was arrested on a warrant Sunday night.
