Warmer weather is on the way for Denver.
Wednesday’s high temperature in the metro area is expected to reach about 74 degrees with mostly sunny skies.
The low temperature will drop to about 45 degrees overnight.
The National Weather Service expects even higher temperatures Thursday, with a possibility of going past 80 degrees.
The record high for May 5 in Denver was recorded by the weather service in 2000 as 89 degrees.
Meteorologists are also tracking another storm expected to bring rain showers to the metro area this weekend for Mother’s Day.
