A fire in a house occupied, on and off, by transients in northeast Denver caused severe damage to the structure and one firefighter was injured.
The fire broke out at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at 2500 Kearney Street, a Denver Fire Department spokesman said.
The fire spread into the attic of the structure and caused extensive damage. One firefighter injured a hand during the incident.
