As Division II college basketball champions, Metropolitan State University Roadrunners are a force to be reckoned with on gym floors across the country. Until, that is, they run into hip-hop maestro Chuck D of Public Enemy.
The M.C. stopped by the university this weekend to shoot a music video. Chuck D paid homage to the local Metro State squad by donning a basketball jersey with Michael Jordan’s infamous “23” — a nice bit of free P.R. for the school if the jersey makes it into the final cut.
Flavor Flav was nowhere to be seen, presumably looking for a jersey to fit his over-sized clock:
hip hop legend reppn’ the jersey! can’t get better than that…

We suspect the co-ring leader of the highly influential rap act was looking for some time to kill and wanted to play a friendly game of “HORSE.”
Public Enemy was in town performing at Denver’s City Hall venue on Broadway on May 7.
