1 Hashing it out. Two neighboring women who don’t get along started calling each other names in one of the women’s front yards in the 10800 block of Dayton Way, Commerce City. A patrolling officer saw one slap the other one’s hands while she was flipping her off April 22. They were cited and separated.

2 Marijuana basement. Someone reported that their neighbor was growing weed in his basement in the 200 block of Starlight Road, Thornton. The suspect was only allowed to have 12 plants per his medical license, but he had more than 40, so they were confiscated March 21.

3 Car crash. Residents in the 11500 block of East 118th Place, Commerce City, called police about a woman sleeping in her car in their neighborhood April 21. The officer saw a marijuana pipe in the passed-out girl’s car and arrested her after he discovered her license was suspended.

4 Hit and run. A woman saw a black truck back into a red Cadillac in a parking lot at 10300 N. Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, and took pictures of the truck as the driver sped away March 27. Police found the driver and cited him for fleeing.

5 Caught on tape. Thornton police were called to the 10200 block of Riverdale Road, Thornton, because a man had video footage of another man slashing tires on cars parked in the neighborhood March 21. The suspect was arrested.

6 Loose pooch. A patrolling Commerce City police officer found a roaming Cocker Spaniel in the 5300 block of Magnolia Street and caught it. He returned the dog to its owner and ticketed her April 19.
