
1 Double dine-and-dasher. Staff at El Parral Mexican Restaurant, 9261 E. Arapahoe Road, Greenwood Village, said the same man ate and drank there and left without paying on both April 19 and April 21, owing more than $77. Police found him at a hotel across the street. He was banned from the restaurant.
2 Door buster busted. Police arrested a man who admitted to kicking the front door and briefly entering a home in the 3500 block South Clarkson Street, Englewood, on May 8.
3 Register raider. An unidentified man broke into a business in the 2800 block of South Broadway, Englewood, just before 2:30 a.m. May 12, rummaged through the front desk and stole the cash register.
4 Construction confrontation. A construction worker who was laying a foundation in the area of Brookside Drive in Greenwood Village called police on April 20 after he said co-workers threatened him with a bat after a disagreement over his workmanship. Other workers there said he was the one with the bad attitude and challenged them to a fight. The case was closed.
5 Attempted defrauding of a babysitter. A woman with an account at TCF bank branch at 2690 W. Belleview Ave. Littleton, reported a man who hired her as a nanny online tried to defraud her. The two never met. He mailed her a check for $1,950 even though her first two weeks of pay was only $300. He then asked her to mail $1,000 of that to another company. Instead of forwarding the $1,000 immediately, she waited for the check to clear. It came back as fraudulent.
