Adams County authorities have arrested a 23-year-old woman on suspicion of first-degree murder in .
Maria Guadalupe Morado was taken into custody without incident on the 7300 block of Quivas Street by the county sheriff’s office announced Friday.
The stabbing happened at the White Rock Motel at 5555 Federal Blvd., investigators say, and left a woman dead after efforts to save her at a hospital failed. Her identity has not been released.
When deputies arrived at the motel after receiving a distress call about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, they found the door of room number five open and the injured woman inside.
“They are tiny, little rooms,” Sgt. Jim Morgen told The Denver Post. “The woman was sitting right there on the bed bleeding from a stab wound.”
