Robert Hawkins artArtist Robert Hawkins has been an underground hero of the art world since the 1970s. A self-taught painter, his style has been labeled “pseudo-realism” and has him putting on canvas his singular vision — and off-kilter perspective — to create portraits of famous people ranging from Albert Einstein to Lady Gaga. He lives in London now but heads to Denver this weekend for a retrospective of his work . It’s a unique event, off the beaten track from the local gallery scene. Friday-Sunday.
