Nuggets assistant Chris Fleming has left the staff and will join the Brooklyn Nets.

He leaves the Nuggets after one season with the team and will work under new Nets coach Kenny Atkinson. The two are friends and played college basketball together at Richmond.

Fleming was the third assistant with the Nuggets but is expected to be the second assistant with Brooklyn, according to a source. The Nuggets, meanwhile, have begun the process of determining how they want to fill Fleming’s spot on the bench.

Fleming’s departure was first reported by The Vertical.

In other news, the Nuggets are scheduled to have another pre-draft workout  Wednesday with some intriguing players. Scheduled to participate are Vanderbilt point guard Wade Baldwin IV, Providence forward Ben Bentil, Virginia forward Anthony Gil, UNLV forward Derrick Jones, Colorado Mesa forward Ryan Stephan and California guard Tyrone Wallace.
