A glorious spring day is in store for Denver on Wednesday with sunshine and no rain in the forecast.
The high temperature is expected to reach 72 degrees — a few degrees below normal — with a southerly breeze at about 8 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There is a slight chance for isolated rain near the Wyoming border in the afternoon, said Kari Bowen, NWS meteorologist.
The low temperature Wednesday night is expected to drop to 46 degrees.

A storm system will drop temperatures Thursday and Friday. The highs are expected to stay in the low 60s, and there is a good chance for rain and thunderstorms both days.
“Nothing too crazy. There will be periods of brief heavy rain,” Bowen said.
Through the day between a half-inch and three-quarters of an inch of rain could fall, she said. Isolated hail is expected.
“There is a slight chance of severe weather east of Akron on Thursday afternoon,” Bowen said.
The chance for rain Thursday will be 60 percent by the evening with wind gusts reaching as high as 26 mph. There is a 50 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms Friday.
The chance for afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms diminishes through the Memorial Day weekend as high temperatures break back into the 70s.
There is a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday, and Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures rising to 71 and 74 degrees, respectively.
On Memorial Day and Tuesday, the high temperature will be in the low 70s.
