Born from a in 2012, PopSockets fixed the problem of how to hold one’s smartphone and scroll with the same hand. The little suction-cup-like handle sticks to the back of the phone and pops out when needed, flattens when unneeded. Handy? Very. Approximately 1.5 million PopSockets later, and with sales projected to grow 400 percent from last year, the Boulder maker decided it was time to get serious. This month, the company hired as its CEO, leaving founder David Barnett to invent new stuff. Next month, PopSockets will quadruple its size when it moves to a new building in Boulder. Pop on!
