I recently was at Arlington National Cemetery at the burial of my mother-in-law. She and her husband both served in World War II. President Obama gave an emotional speech there this past weekend. I can’t imagine Donald Trump giving that speech. I wonder if Trump could spend an hour alone there, not talking, feeling the duty and selflessness of those buried there. It is an overwhelming place — and will change you if you visit.

No matter what you think about Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, they have spent a large part of their lives devoted to public service. Trump has spent a large part of his devoted to — well, Trump. No matter what I learn about him, he has never made me feel his campaign has really been about anything but him.

We must remember, we get what we vote for.
