James Woo, who is suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend and hiding her body in a Colorado Springs storage unit, was booked into the El Paso County Jail on Wednesday after being extradited from Seattle.

Authorities suspect that Woo, 38, killed Julie Tureson, 33, of Colorado Springs, and placed her body in the storage unit in the 440 block of East Platte Avenue. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.

El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies found the body after receiving a missing-persons report in April.

Woo and Tureson were involved in a relationship that lasted for several years.

Hours after finding Tureson’s body, investigators tracked Woo to and detained him as he waited for a flight to Hong Kong. He was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Woo was a frequent visitor of the Front Range and known to be active on the social media dating site Tinder, according to El Paso Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jacqueline Kirby.
