Sunshine and a slight westerly breeze will help elevate the temperature to about 80 degrees Friday along the Front Range.
A 10 mph breeze from the west-southwest with gusts up to 16 mph are forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. The temperature will drop to 53 degrees overnight.
The warming trend will continue through the weekend, with a forecast of 77 degrees Saturday and 80 degrees Sunday.
It will be mostly sunny Saturday. There is a 20 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.
The possibility for rain and thunder is considered “slight” Monday through Thursday.
Temperatures will increase gradually from 83 on Monday to 85 on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the weather service.
