
Weld County authorities are investigating after a farmer working in a field northeast of Greeley on Thursday evening found a body in a ditch.
The sheriff’s office said deputies were called to the scene near the intersection of Weld County Roads 49 and 66 about 5:30 p.m.
“The condition of the body suggests that it has been there for a long period of time,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release. “The identity of the individual and the cause of death are unknown at this time.”
Investigators said the body is a male.
