On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton is expected to reach the 2,383-delegate threshold needed to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination, after primaries in six states including California. But challenger Bernie Sanders isn’t quitting.
The Vermont senator, who trails Clinton 1,769 to 1,501 in pledged delegates, thinks he can woo some of the 544 superdelegates who said they will vote for Clinton at the Democratic convention in July. Sanders has vowed to continue his fight for the nomination past the primary process, which ends next week, and predicts a contested convention.
What do you think? If Clinton clinches, should Sanders step aside?
