Sunshine and a high of 83 degrees is expected Monday before chances increase for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunshine will compete with thundershowers throughout the week, with at least a slight chance of storms each day through Friday, according to the NWS.
Temperatures will be in the 80s throughout the week in the Denver metro area, said Kari Bowen, NWS meteorologist.
“The mountains look about the same, maybe a slightly higher chance of storms in the afternoons. Highs will be in the 60s,” she said of the higher elevations.
Temperatures in southern Colorado are expected to reach the 90s, she said.
