A man described as being in an agitated state in downtown Denver was subdued by police, with the use of a Taser, and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The incident happened at about 7:00 p.m. Friday on Stout Street between 14th and 15th streets, a Denver Police Department spokesman said.
An officer was flagged down by a passerby, who told the officer that a man was yelling at people on the street and at passing traffic.
The officer tried to engage the man, who then became further agitated, police said.
