Larimer County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a missing 18-year-old woman and her possibly armed former boyfriend after her car was found abandoned near Lon Hagler Reservoir.

Ashley Marie Doolittle of Berthoud was expected home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. When her car was discovered at the reservoir her parents contacted the sheriff’s office, according to a news release. The report came in at 7:55 p.m.

Authorities are searching for Tanner George Flores, 18, who drives a white 1999 Dodge 2500 diesel pickup truck with Colorado license plate 121XGO.

Doolittle recently severed a one-year relationship with Flores, who was also determined to be missing since 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

“It was reported that Tanner was upset and distraught over the recent breakup,” the news release says.

Flores may be armed with a handgun, the news release says.

Anyone who sees Flores or Doolittle, or Flores’ pickup are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 970-498-5163.
