Denver medical examiner releases name of bicyclist killed in hit-and-run

The Denver medical examiner has released the name and cause of death of a 27-year-old bicyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning.

Drew Dietrich was pronounced dead on the scene, and an autopsy determined the cause of death was from blunt-force injuries.

Police found the vehicle suspected of hitting Dietrich but have yet to locate the driver, according to a issued Sunday morning.

The hit-and-run crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at First Avenue and Gilpin Street.
