LOVELAND — It was standing room only Friday morning at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish as approximately 700 people gathered to remember Ashley Doolittle’s life.

Rev. Steve Adams celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial and spoke at length about dealing with the Loveland teen’s .

The priest said he knew Doolittle well; she was up on the church’s stage a few short weeks ago being recognized for graduating from high school.

“Other folks have talked about how this whole event has affected the lives of so many,” Adams said. “… Because something’s happened. Something we don’t understand, something we want to have an answer for, something that seems beyond anything we could have thought was possible.”
