, a publication of the Boulder-based , on Friday released the 2016 iteration of the top commercially available beers based on reader surveys — and their favorites included releases from Left Hand Brewing, New Belgium, Odell Brewing and Oskar Blues.
tied with Troegs Nugget Nectar at No. 24; tied with Laugunitas IPA and Russian River Consecration for No. 29; tied with Russian River Supplication and Toppling Goliath pseudoSue at No. 39; and and Dogfish Head’s 60 Minute IPA closed out the list tied at No. 50.
And when it comes to a subjective list of the 50 best brews, beer drinkers’ love for didn’t wane.
For the eighth-consecutive year, Russian River Brewing Co.’s Pliny the Elder double IPA topped the rankings.
Colorado also had a few entrants on the top 25 breweries list, including Boulder-based , Fort Collins-based , Longmont-based , Fort Collins-based and Longmont-based .
Avery Brewing and New Belgium were listed among the top 10 breweries with the “Best Portfolio,” with their collections of 42 beers and 41 beers, respectively.
Last year’s top 50 included two additional Colorado brews that were absent from this year’s rankings: Oskar Blues’ signature Dale’s Pale Ale and Odell Myrcenary double IPA.
