Fort Collins police have arrested a woman and a man — — who investigators say were shot by a bounty hunter Wednesday evening.
Lupe Sanchez, 32, and Roger Sanchez, 24, were taken into custody early Friday, according to authorities. Police said the pair had outstanding felony warrants.

Law enforcement had been seeking the two since Thursday morning when they left from the Medical Center of the Rockies without notifying the hospital staff.

Police say the pair was wounded when the bounty hunter, Vonshay McCarther, shot them when they drove at him, according to McCarther’s account to police.
McCarther told investigators he fired multiple rounds in the direction of the duo’s vehicle. Police say two uninvolved witnesses were with McCarther when the shooting happened.
Soon after the shooting, police were called about two people arriving at Harmony Urgent Care with wounds who were then transferred to Medical Center of the Rockies. Authorities say the pair’s injuries were consistent with being involved in the shooting.
McCarther told police he was trying to make contact with Lupe Sanchez about a bond revocation, according to investigators.
Kate Kimble, a Fort Collins police spokeswoman, said Lupe Sanchez and Roger Sanchez are not related.
No charges have been filed in the shooting, which remains under investigation.
