The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash in May.

The sheriff’s office said a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian at 4 a.m. May 5 on Colorado 131 at mile marker 5, just north of the 4 Eagle Ranch.

The vehicle is believed to be a full-size SUV, possibly a 2007 to 2014 GMC Yukon-style vehicle, which probably sustained front-end damage. It also has a broken headlight and missing chrome trim, according to the release.

Police ask that anyone who has information about the suspect or the crime to call the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office at 970-328-8500 or Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007.
