The Green Box Arts Festival returns to Green Mountain Falls this week with a lineup of art and music well worth the drive south. The centerpiece will be a new, site-specific sculpture created by “stick artist” Patrick Dougherty using debris collected from recent floods.
Returning to the fest for 2016 will be New York’s highly regarded KEIGWIN + COMPANY dance troupe and the Oklahoma City Ballet. And around those featured attractions are concerts, workshops, nature walks and a slew of family-friendly activities.
It’s a high-quality affair and and not all that far away — just a short hop west from Colorado Springs. Sunday, June 26, through Monday, July 4. See the schedule and ticket details on the website at greenboxarts.org.
