A mudslide in Park County on Monday caused authorities to close U.S. 285 temporarily, according to the Park County Sheriff’s Department.

The mudslide occurred in front of Platte Canyon Fire Station 1 on U.S. 285 near mile marker 221 in Bailey, but caused no damage or injuries, according to police.

Colorado Department of Transportation officials are rerouting traffic around the affected area, but police said the road will reopen once the rain begins to slow.
