Colorado Springs police say a 25-year-old man fired a bullet at his ex-girlfriend during an altercation at their shared apartment late Monday.
The woman was not struck.
Investigators were called to the scene at an apartment on the 3200 block of Galley Road at about 11:45 p.m., where the woman told police the round had traveled into the wall near where she was standing.
Dustin Hammon was arrested on suspicion of several counts, including attempted manslaughter, reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon. Police say he was booked into the El Paso County jail.
