The importance of undergarments

Great outfits begin when you’ve got an even better base: Underwear, shoes and socks.

Socks are your chance to add a hidden gem to your threads 鈥� same with the shoes. I don’t know whose face is that is, but does it really matter? No one else is showing off mugs on their shins. Denzel Valentine gets an A.

Using fanfare to your advantage

Last but not least, let’s take a look at Malachi Richardson, loyal servant to the lost decade of fashion. Is that a black turtleneck sneaking out? Where are the clip-on earrings? This suit is Mike Silver’s final chance to look good. But next to that jacket? Good luck. Grade: B

I’m proud of this class and what they’ve accomplished in terms of two-toned tuxedo jackets and bow-ties. Pieces like that will never go out of style. Remember: Whatever you put on, wear it with confidence and pride. And look like you’re having fun. Even if the tie looks like it’s from 1997.
