A Colorado Springs police K-9 helped track down and arrest a suspect armed with a knife in a felony domestic violence case after the man fled his home late Thursday night.
Clinton Newman was held for investigation of domestic violence charges, according to a police report.
Police from the Gold Hill division were called at 11:15 p.m. about a domestic violence incident in which the suspect was armed with a knife, the report says.
As police arrived, Newman allegedly bolted into the high grass and bushes of the Crest open space. Police lost sight of the suspect and a K-9 was called into the area.
Once the K-9 was on the scene, “the suspect was quickly located.”
