A man being held in connection with a robbery case is facing new charges after authorities say he assaulted three jail deputies on Tuesday.

Brian Schabow, 27, is accused of three counts of second-degree assault in the encounter.

According to a probable cause statement, Schabow became combative when deputies were trying to move him from one room to another.

“(Expletive) that, I’m not going anywhere,” Schabow said, according to the statement. “I’m suicidal.”

When a team of deputies tried to move Schabow, he “assaulted them until he was restrained,” according to investigators. Schabow had a history of violence toward jail staff, authorities say.

One deputy was left with abrasions on his face, left arm and knees and also suffered a blood rupture to his eye, court documents show. The other two also suffered abrasions.

Schabow remains in jail in lieu of $5,000 in bail in the assault case. He is next due in court June 28.
