Colorado Technology Association expands its executive leadership

Current chief operating officer Wendy Nkomo will become trade organization’s chief development officer

The  has added a chief development officer, expanding its leadership team to three people.

“I think it brings another chapter to CTA that really enables us to continue to support Colorado’s tech sector in deeper and multiple ways,” said Wendy Nkomo, who will be the organization’s first chief development officer.

Nkomo has been with the trade organization for five years and was previously the group’s chief operating officer. In her new role, Nkomo will focus on increasing the value of being a member of the group by boosting advocacy and helping to further develop talent-training programs.

Monica Coughlin will take over Nkomo’s role as chief operating officer, focusing on growing membership. Coughlin is chief strategy officer for the Governor’s Office of Information Technology.

The leadership team has been in flux. CEO Andrea Young was appointed last month to replace 

Founded in 1994, CTA is focused on advancing Colorado’s technology industry. It is governed by a 45-person board of directors.
