Kids can step into history this summer by visiting one of the seven History Colorado museums, Through Labor Day, admission is free for those 18 and younger at the History Colorado Center. The offer extends to all six Community Museums statewide, including Byers-Evans House Museum, El Pueblo History Museum, Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center, Fort Vasquez Museum, Healy House Museum & Dexter Cabin and Trinidad History Museum. Eat up!
Frequent diners at Chipotle Mexican Grill will be happy this summer. The fast-casual restaurant is launching its first-ever loyalty program, Chiptopia — but just from July 1 to Sept. 30. Pick up a Chiptopia Card at any location and start eating your way to three different status levels each month — Mild, Medium and Hot. New Belgium Brewing is once again bringing its beer-toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefiting show to Boulder. The Clips, Beer and Film Tour returns on July 8 at Valmont Disc Golf Park. The fun starts at 7:30 p.m., with the film clips rolling at 9:30 p.m. Fans can enjoy New Belgium’s most esoteric beer offerings, while viewing short films created by select filmmakers. Admission is free, with beer for $1.50 (3-ounce sample) and $6 (12-ounce.) Food is welcome, but no outside alcohol. Bring low chairs (or lounge on the grass) and dogs on a leash only. Stay hydrated by bringing a water bottle to fill at complimentary water stations. Dinner bell
As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, Old Chicago is making it less expensive for families to dine out. All summer long, kids (10 and under) eat free with the purchase of a full-priced pizza, burger, sandwich, salad or pasta. The family-friendly deal is available after 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, at participating locations. Limit two free kids’ meals per each adult entrée.
