A Denver jury found a man guilty of impersonating a police officer and assaulting a woman .
Morris Fate, 33, showed the woman a badge, and offered the woman a ride in the 1700 block of Xenia Street on Oct. 6, 2015. He then threatened and grabbed her, but the woman was able to get away from him. Fate was arrested a short time later.
Fate was convicted of impersonating a police officer, third-degree assault and attempted sexual assault. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 15 in Denver District Court.
