Marching bands will blast into Sports Authority Field during Drums Along the Rockies, an evening of music showcasing 10 top competitive drum and bugle corps before they make their way to the Drum Corps International World Championships in August. Hosted by Denver’s own Blue Knights, this year’s competition features corps from California, Illinois, Wyoming, Washington and more — including last year’s defending champions, the Blue Devils. The performance begins at 6:30 p.m., but fans are invited to arrive early to hang out in the warm-up zone on the south side of the stadium to feel the beats dished out by the Broncos Stampede and Broncos Brass. 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. July 9 at 1701 Bryant St. Nearly sold out, but tickets start at $30 at .
