Re: “,” July 4 letters to the editor.

In Vancouver, we constantly see aggressive dogs brought to public events — places where they have no business. At a recent street fair, I witnessed a dog lunge at another one and injure it, just a few feet from me. The crowd was shoulder to shoulder and I was almost caught up in the attack. I told the owners they shouldn’t have a dog in a situation like this. In response, they followed my daughter and me and confronted us with abusive language and knocked my hat off before disappearing in the heavy crowd.

This event has spoiled the summer for us. We will not go anywhere where there are crowds with dogs again.
