Re: July 10 business news story.

Your article regarding Colorado’s record number of ski area visitors was quick to dismiss the influence of legal cannabis on this figure. While it is true that “A dispensary and a modest T-shirt shop direct roughly the same amount of tax money into town budgets,” shouldn’t it be noted that one of these businesses also draws countless skiers away from our neighboring states’ remarkable resorts? Tax revenue may be equal, but find me one tourist who chose Breckenridge over Jackson Hole because of the T-shirts. The rising tide of legal cannabis has lifted all boats and itap time the ski industry recognized this fact.
