Multiple charges for two men accused of starting Cold Springs wildfire

Jimmy Andrew Suggs, 28, and Zackary Ryan Kuykendall, 26, are facing arson and other charges

Boulder prosecutors have filed formal charges against two men accused of starting the Cold Springs fire in Nederland.

Jimmy Andrew Suggs, 28, is facing four charges including two counts of fourth-degree arson, and one count each of possession of a weapon by a previous offender and criminal trespass. Suggs is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Zackary Ryan Kuykendall, 26, is facing two charges of fourth-degree arson and one count of criminal trespass. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.

Both men are scheduled to appear next in court on Sept. 1.

The and burned nearly 600 acres of land. About 1,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes.
