A woman pumping gas into her car in Aurora on Thursday afternoon was robbed at gunpoint by a man wearing a camouflage bandana who stole her vehicle.
The carjacking happened at about 2:45 p.m. at 1677 S. Havana St., a Safeway gas station, said Sgt. Chris Amsler, Aurora Police Department spokesman.
A woman was pumping gas into her blue 2008 Ford Fusion when the armed man, who also wore a straw hat, approached and threatened the woman. The robber fled west in the car on Mexico Avenue.
The stolen car has this Colorado license plate: 950-SFW. It also has a Harley-Davidson sticker in the rear window.
The gunman is described as a white man, in his mid- to late 20s, about 6 feet tall.
Not shots were fired, and no one was injured.
Anyone who sees the vehicle should call police immediately on 911. Do not approach the vehicle or a anyone it, Amsler said, because they should be considered armed and dangerous.
