Jermaine Jones is the lone member of the Colorado Rapids team to make this year’s All-Star Game. The MLS All-Stars will face English club Arsenal FC at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California on July 28.
Jones was one of the 13 players named to the team as league standouts. Jones is joined by goalkeeper Steve Birnbaum (D.C. United), Andrew Farrell (New England Revolution), Wil Trapp (Columbus Crew SC) and Sacha Kljestan (New York Red Bulls) among others.
In addition to the 13 league standouts, 11 players were voted on to the team by media and fans. Known as the Fan XI, the group is highlighted by New York FC striker David Villa, the leading scorer in MLS, as well as 2015 Landon Donovan MVP winner Sebastian Giovinco and U.S. Men’s National Team forward Clint Dempsey.
