Denver police say a shooting early Thursday in southwest Denver that left one person wounded was self-inflicted and accidental.
Investigators initially described the case as a drive-by shooting.
The shooting happened on the 2700 block of West Wesley Avenue in the city’s College View neighborhood.
ALERT: After further investigation, the early AM shooting in 2700 blk of W. Wesley Ave appears to be accidental discharge/self-inflicted.

Investigators say the wounded person was a passenger in a vehicle and was struck in the leg by a bullet. Authorities described the wound as “minor.”
